Commander Minerva was born on Caprica, and joined the Colonial Fleet as soon as she was eligible to do so. High scores in the academy placed her as a Lieutenant in Flight Ops on the Battlestar Galactica, a position she continued to serve in when the colonies fell. Like many, her despair was swept away after Commander Adama’s vision of Earth. Throughout the Galactica’s journey, she did her duty, and rose swiftly through the ranks, When Galactica and the Colonial Fleet arrived at Earth, Minerva had risen to
the rank of First Lieutenant, and was the Night Watch Officer on the Bridge. When the New Caprican Fleet began to add new Battlestars to serve with the Galactica, Minerva was named second officer of the Battlestar Perseus, where she served with distinction. Just prior to the establishment of The Grand alliance, Minerva was transferred to the Battlestar Cyclops, to serve as First Officer. After two years she was transferred back to Galactica, tos erve as that ships first officer. When the Grand Alliance commissioned the Phoenix, Minerva’s name was at the top of the list of potential Commanders from the Caprican Fleet.
Following her designation as the Captain of the Phoenix, Minerva made a concerted effort to get familiar not only with the ship’s proposed systems and layout, but with the ship itself and was a familiar site at the Construction Yards on Earth. She knows every system and component of her ship, like the back of her hand.
Minerva is respected by the militaries of The Grand Alliance for her Tactical Brilliance, knowledge, and ease of Command Style.
